Boston Massachusetts

Oh Boston. I love Boston as much as it breaks my wallet.

Actually, we got an amazing deal for a slip downtown at the Constitution Marina. Three Weeks! For less than $1,500 there was a coupon code on Dockwa that I will be looking for in the future.

The marina was well equipped, has a pool, is an excellent place to get mail, and is within walking distance of EVERYTHING!

We spent most of our time visiting old favorites in the North End. Bova’s Bakery, Regina’s Pizzeria, Lil Italy Caffe and the countless other shops and eateries.

One of the things that is particularly fun about the North End is that so many of the restaurants essentially open their whole front up to the outside for excellent ventilation. Something I never cared about until COVID.

The Marina was also super convenient to the Airport and North Station. We made a few trips to the airport, sadly not to welcome guests but to rent more cars to run up for Ryan’s wisdom teeth removal and follow up appointment. Needless to say I’m very glad that is over. I think we spent more on rental cars and marina fees than we did on the actual procedure.

Several trips to the local Ace Hardware store to pick up a few things and we were able to also finally properly route our solar cables and have better access to the head again.

And of course too many trips to Whole Foods and the local Star Market which is a regional supermarket.

Everything at our fingertips. A great view of the city. And a pump-out boat that came right to the slip made Constitution Marina one that’s going to make the list of places to return to. And they allow full-time year-round liveaboards if I ever get too old to sail.
